What A Day !

3 Brits and 3 Germans enjoyed a perfect day on April 26th. Windy, challenging, yet fair and rewarding. Links at its best. A great day out. Thanks to the very friendly staff.

Wonderful

A couple of old friends and myself took a tour of Scottish courses last year and happened upon Craigielaw after playing Gullane, just along the coast. This is a fine course with all the bumps and runs you'd expect from links golf. The weather was kind to us as was the reception we got in the club house. A wonderful course and wonderful treat that could teach a few of the older links courses a lesson or two.

Having just come back from east lothian 11/09/03, after a 4 day golfing break. Craigielaw was the ONE i enjoyed the most, the hospitality was very welcoming and the golf course was FANTASTIC the lay out of the course was great, well designed. This golf course will mature with AGE and become A LITTLE GEM..Hope to see you all next year.. thanks for a great day. Geoff.Davies.. Capt FLINT GOLF CLUB .. NORTH WALES

Born to be a 'must play'

From start to finish this is a quality golf course and a fine example of a true links layout. Situated next to delightful little Kilspindie Golf Course and sharing many of the fine qualities, it bobs and weaves its way around a layout of 6601 yards off the championship tees.

The holes are imaginative, the greens fabulous and the bunkers fearsome. The wind is an integral part of the course and indeed of links golf.

One of the things I really love about golf in Scotland is that the architects use whatever is available with a minimum of gimmicks. This course is like that. The stone walls -who knows how old they are, one gets the impression they've been here since kilts were invented.

By the way, when you play take the opportunity to talk to the starter, Gordon McLanachan. He's full of information about the course and, in fact, about many of the courses in the area. He is one of the most gracious people you will ever meet.

As the course matures I predict it will be thought of as one of the great ones.
