The East Links in North Berwick combines inland turf with a glorious seaside setting, where the game has been played as far back as the 17th century. Originally laid out as a 9-hole course in 1894, it was extended to 18 holes in 1906 with a design provided by James Braid and Ben Sayers.
This is a golfing experience that is not to be missed: the course enjoys a breath-taking cliff top location with many spectacular holes offering views out across the sea, which linger long in the memory of all who play here.
The Glen is a great challenge for players of all abilities. Elevated tees and greens across the course mean that careful club selection, consistency and confidence in iron play are vital. It is a year round course, benefiting from the climate of East Lothian. Looking majestically out over the course and the Firth of Forth, the clubhouse perfectly complements the golfing experience, offering top quality bar and catering facilities.
